Over 300 designers, studios, manufacturers and showrooms will converge on the Metro Toronto Convention Centre to display their latest products, furnishings, lighting and other innovations. Among the participating international brands, UK-based wallcoverings company Graham & Brown has just launched a British-inspired interior paints collection; the German bath manufacturer Axor will display its future-forward wares, which include a new line of sinks and faucets by the trailblazing Bouroullecs brothers; and American faucet company Moen has just expanded its range with the addition of environmentally friendly showerheads.

Canadian talents will also hold court. Toronto furniture designers the Brothers Dressler and Jean Willoughby will present new works, and the shop/atelier Commute Home will install a large lighting feature at its booth. Montreal’s Montauk Sofa will also be on-hand, showing its new Margaret model, as will eco-company Nadurra Bamboo, which recently installed one of its flooring products in Aveda’s Vancouver headquarters. A number of Canadian retailers will also show off their current collections: Avenue Road will present new furnishings by Glas Italia; Dekla will show off the new Tetris kitchen by Scavolini; Pimlico Design Gallery will display its line of Canadiana-flavoured stuff; and family-run companies Andrew Richard Designs and Hauser will heat up the January show with their latest patio furniture.

IDS 2011 is open to trade professionals on January 28, and to the general public from January 29 to 30.
