1 Tulipani e Anemoni by Paola Paronetto
Based in Pordenone, Italy, ceramicist Paola Paronetto has developed her own techniques for working in paper clay – a ceramic mixed with paper fibres to produce a uniquely textured appearance reminiscent of corrugated cardboard. For her most recent collection, she took inspiration from paper for the finish, too: the finished pieces, in shades of white and grey, are imprinted with letters that seem to be transferred directly from a newspaper. The collection also includes a tray and pendant lamp.

2 Arc Sideboard by Bateye
Portugal’s Bateye produces many eye-catching, highly individual pieces like this sideboard, by Marco Sousa. Arc’s satin wood structure and its bridge-inspired metal truss base set off an exterior covered with vibrant hand-painted tiles.

3 True Colours Vases by &Tradition
Dutch designer Lex Pott took a few base metals – copper, brass, steel and aluminum – and treated them with various chemicals, controlling oxydization to produce a wide assortment of effects and colours. The collection of vases is now in production with Copenhagen’s &Tradition.

4 Chocolatexture by Nendo
Maison & Objet has named Japan’s Nendo its Designer of the Year, and in turn, lead designer Oki Sato has responded by introducing a limited-edition collection of chocolates in uniquely sculptural shapes. They’ll be available at a special lounge area on the showroom floor, fitted out by Nendo with chocolate-coloured pipes and a selection of the firm’s most “soft-melting” furniture.

5 Webby by Porada
Stools, ottomans, poufs and benches make up Porada’s Webby collection. In each piece, the solid wood base supports a firm upholstered top available in multiple colours, and tufted with button detailing for a distinguished look in any setting.

6 Beads by Innermost
Winnie Liu’s Beads chandeliers come in two configurations – the more spherical Penta, in addition to the UFO-shaped Octo seen here – in stainless steel on a polycarbonate frame. Besides this striking gunmetal finish, Beads is available in chrome, copper, black and white.

7 Tivoli and Malmö by Pedrali
Italy’s Pedrali brings several of its ash wood armchairs to Paris, including Tivoli (left), whose clean lines recall traditional wooden chairs, but with a curving back for better comfort. At right, Malmö channels a Scandinavian aesthetic with blond wood and a fabric- or leather-upholstered seat.

8 A Table by Atipico
Although thoroughly contemporary in feel, Fabrica’s A Table collection for Atipico draws on traditional forms from many cultures: glasses are reminiscent of Chinese teacups, the cocktail set is inspired by Indian table settings, and the linens take their colours and graphics from ancient porcelain, combining the symbols of multiple nations into a single pattern.

The UK’s Another Country expands its Sleep Series of bedroom furnishings with Bedside Table Two. Dovetail joints and brass fittings add durability and a classic feel to this minimalist night stand.

10 Bronze Age Chaise Longue by Tjep
Artist and designer Frank Tjepkema of Amsterdam – better known as Tjep – will show off pieces from his atavistic Bronze Age collection at Christofle‘s rue Royale showroom. The cast metal designs contrast rugged forms with highly polished surfaces.
