1 Curve pendants by Tom Dixon
The London brand’s orbital pendants continue to morph in brilliant, beautiful ways. For 2016, the studio is launching a new geometrical light that pushes the boundaries of thin sheet, etched-metal fabrication. With its microscopic precision-pierced surface and soft nickel silver coating, Curve internally reflects and emits a filtered glow of ethereal light. Booth 1704

2 Drift Collection by Branch Creative
This new collection, which includes a bar stool, occasional stool/side table and coffee table, is the joint collaboration between San Francisco industrial design studio Branch Creative and local manufacturer Council, who share an affinity for simplicity and natural materials. The difference, here, is in the details, where the unique joinery was inspired by the natural forms of driftwood. Booth 1304

3 Mellow Sofa by Océane Delain for Bernhardt Design
Mellow is not like any other sofa. It rests on a solid maple platform and features wood buttons that are incorporated into an adjustable cord system, which allows the user to change the shape and the comfort of the sofa. Also, it is draped in a custom fabric with only one seam.

4 Dressage vanity and tub by Graff
The Milwaukee-based bathroom fixture manufacturer keeps scooping up top awards for its Dressage collection, where the bathroom sink becomes a standalone piece of furniture crafted in wood, and a matching deep tub is an inviting option for either an indoor or outdoor setting.

5 Loop Pile seat by Ana Mosseri and Elaina Runge, RISD
Each year, ICFF makes room for design schools to present thesis projects. At the Rhode Island School of Design, furniture design students partnered with their peers in textiles to rethink the use of soft materials and the inherent qualities of weaving, knitting, knotting and crocheting. Pictured above is Looped Pile seat by Ana Mosseri and Elaina Runge, which references the way plush carpets are made – using a supplementary yarn pulled through a structural base fabric to form a surface of loops.

6 Nami washbasin for Kreoo
The Nami washbasin is made of marble yet its theatrical form is designed to look like a piece of free-flowing fabric. Designer Enzo Berti turned to the all-time greatest example of stone drapery for inspiration: the folds of the Virgin Mary’s robes in Michelangelo’s Pietà. Nami is part of Kreoo’s 2016 bathroom collection. Booth 832

7 Laurent pendant by Lambert & Fils
Lambert & Fils, one of Montreal’s hottest lighting design studios, will be presenting Laurent, a dual handblown sphere pendant that can vary in form based on a series of brass plate add-ons, creating endless customization options. Booth 1454

8 Pier table by Hollis+Morris
The Toronto studio Hollis+Morris, run by Mischa Couvrette, is making a name for itself with sleek, minimalist household furniture with some charming twists on convention, from sculptural stools to tree-shaped coat racks. Couvrette will be at ICFF for a second year, this time debuting his eight-legged Piers table made in collaboration with local wood factories and metal shops.

9 Piet Hein Eek by NLXL
The Dutch designer’s line of faux wallpapers for NLXL is a brilliant alternative to using real marble, granite, bricks or charred wood as decorative cladding. Even up close the coverings are convincingly real. Booth 1832

10 Stickbulb collection by Rux
The two-foot Torch is one scale option in a growing series of sleek linear lights by the New York architecture and design studio Rux. The LED light, encased in a frame of wood, is held in place by a steel base and it can be oriented horizontally or vertically, to suit whatever angle works best. Besides table lamps, Stickbulbs are available as floor lights, wall scones and pendants. Booth 1848
