Available with Duravit‘s D-Code and Starck 3 toilets (and soon, Starck 2 and Darling new), the French maestro’s latest design combines toilet and bidet functions. Equipped with a stainless steel spray arm, the toilets offer users three types of showers. For North Americans, the names for these settings alone might provoke extreme blushing, but here they are: rearwash, comfortwash – which features either a back and forth movement or pulsating water jet – and ladywash.

What’s more, the water temperature, water volume and nozzle position can all be individually adjusted using a remote control. The palm-sized gadget can also be used to open or close the lid, lift the seat and adjust the temperature of the heated seat and dryer (with the option of saving your setting preferences). Citing its attention to safety, Duravit added a special LED light that illuminates the bowl for night-time visits and a sensor in the seat that only triggers the shower function when it recognizes the weight of a person and not say, tiny hands or nosy pets.

SensoWash is also programmed with standby and powersaving modes, making it ideal for hospitality projects.

Stay tuned for our coverage of Duravit Design Days 2011 in the upcoming May issue.
