Designed by Berlin’s Studio 7.5, the Mirra 2 task chair is 25 per cent lighter and more responsive than the original Mirra. The updated iteration has a smaller core and features a fabric back support with a reduced ratio of hole to material. The molded material is meant to stay heat and moisture free.

Inspired by un-dyed natural fibres such as wool and linen, this textured carpeting is made of 100 per cent non-virgin yarn that combines reclaimed carpet fibre and salvaged fishing nets. Duo has a neutral palette while Trio adds a swath of colour. Both are offered in a skinny plank format, allowing for a bevy of installation possibilities including quarter-turn and herringbone.

Toronto’s Teknion joins forces with design luminaries such as Suzanne Tick, Jeffrey Bernett and Michael Vanderbyl to create a new alliance with B&B Italia. One of the many pieces is Naoto Fukasawa’s Cloud Sofa (shown), a series of linear and curved benches with a chromed tubular steel support frame and upholstered foam cushions in fabric or leather.

The newest addition to J+J/Invision’s Drama Collection is this broadloom that uses a blend of pile heights to create a chic grid pattern inspired by couture tweed designs. It comes in cool, warm and neutral tones, and contains 25 per cent recycled content and features a colour technology that eliminates the need for harsh cleaners.

Nienkämper expands its geometric-shaped Sedan line of semi-private seating with this lightweight trio of occasional tables. In three heights and sizes, wood veneer or laminate tops can be specified, while the bases come in slick finishes including brushed nickel and glossy black.

EOOS, in collaboration with Keilhauer, has come up with Juxta, a seating collection that caters to opposing behaviours occurring in the office: formal and informal, standing and sitting, brief and lengthy. It consists of 39 components that can be assembled in various ways to create 74 unique configurations of stools, chairs and tables.

Tyde extends this concept into double workstations and conference tables, incorporating features that address the acoustic challenges of open plan offices. Beneath a sound-absorbing cover is a quiet electric height adjustment motor, while acoustic screens dampen ambient noise.
