Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

HDR is looking for a junior designer with two years’ experience to join its team in Seattle. The candidate needs to be personable, talented and driven, and able to apply themselves to the challenges of working in a demanding and rewarding design practice. They will be working on a range of innovative projects, supporting the team’s senior designers in a variety of roles, while learning and developing their skills. The candidate should demonstrate a passion and interest in regenerative design, in addition to project responsibilities in the region. The candidate will need to manage their own workload, using their initiative and creative skills to solve problems and meet deadlines. The candidate is expected to achieve licensure in Architecture, and LEED accreditation.

Qualifications

Candidates should submit both a resume and portfolio to be considered for the position.
Masters of Design or Architecture
2+ years of professional experience
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project) required.
Must be proficient in Revit, Rhino, AutoCAD, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Strong free-hand sketching abilities
Successful candidates must possess the desire to pursue growth opportunities, licensure, and possess a passion for succeeding in a team environment
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Special consideration given for experience with specialty Building Standards, such as WELL, Fitwel, Zero, or Living Building Challenge.
Experience in Grasshopper, Dynamo, and Sefaira is a plus.
