We are actively seeking to hire an Architectural Technologist to join our Montreal, QC office.

The Architectural Technologist will be part of the architectural team providing architectural services and support on large and small projects of varying types and scopes, The Intermediate Architectural Technologist will report directly to the Senior Architectural Designer and is responsible to participate in the production and delivery of architectural 3D models, 3D visualizations, and 2D drawings in accordance with specific project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce and maintain Architectural drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software as required.
  • Prepare and develop project specific and typical design details.
  • Assist the Lead Architect with the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, work plans, cost and schedules.
  • Assist the Lead Architect by attending and coordinating project meetings as required.
  • Independently coordinate with designers and other disciplines to develop the design on assigned projects.
  • Document and drawing checking prior to release.
  • Participation in formal review processes.
  • Support site Architectural / Engineering team to provide technical solutions and timely responses to technical queries as required upon project demands.
  • Site visits to verify existing conditions and scope relating to ongoing and future project work.
  • Construction support and supervision dependent upon project demands and scope.
    Essential

Qualifications:

  • A recognized degree/diploma in Architectural Technology from an accredited College.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Experience working on projects in a multidisciplinary environment.
  • Proficient in the use of 2D and 3D software packages.
  • Excellent planning, organizational and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of industry or regulatory standards, codes and regulations pertinent to the design and systems specific to the project.
  • Understanding and knowledge of other discipline requirements.
  • Ability to design details, source information, and function with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to effectively delegate tasks and supervise others.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred

  • Experience in Microstation (V8 XM, V8i), AutoCAD (2014), Bentley AECOsim, Revit, and Trimble SketchUp 2015-2016.
  • Experience in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
  • Experience in Adobe CS6 including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign.
  • Major project work experience on varying project types, including Industrial, Transit, Commercial.
