We are seeking an Interior Designer to join our Design Team with a strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the sales effort, driving client meetings and interface, providing space planning, furniture applications services, determining and implementing systems requirements, producing CAP specifications, installation drawings and a high level of customer satisfaction while supporting Sales by managing all aspects of the design process.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
- BS or BA degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field from a FIDER/CIDA accredited institution
- Professional design experience and working towards/passed NCIDQ
- Minimum 3-5 years space planning office environments and specifying systems furniture
- Proficient in AutoCAD 2013 and Microsoft Office with ability to learn other software programs quickly
- Critical and strategic thinking skills: ability to assess the big picture and provide direction on projects and think in multiple dimensions to understand the connection between furniture and architecture
- Ability to coordinate, plan, organize and manage multiple responsibilities and high volume workload effectively with speed and accuracy
- Very high level of attention to detail and technical proficiency
- Good interpersonal skills including written and verbal communication to interact effectively with a wide range of people both within and outside of the company
- CAP Studio, CAP Worksheet, and ancillary furniture specification knowledge is beneficial but not required
*We are open to entry level candidates who are completing their BS or BA degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field from a FIDER/CIDA accredited institution in May 2019. The candidate must also have AutoCAD 2013 skills, and the ability to learn other programs quickly.
