An exciting opportunity has arisen and we are seeking an experienced and highly energetic Senior Interior Designer to join our Brisbane Interior Design Team. You will be supporting the Queensland Commercial Manager and team by managing the existing portfolio of interiors projects and contributing to the growth of the business through your networks, business development, strategy, innovation, design and leadership. You will have excellent communication and negotiating skills to assist you in driving and closing sales and achieving sales targets.

Based at the Fortitude Valley showroom you can expect to utilise your extensive design experience to deliver on innovative and considered residential and commercial projects that improve the way people work and live. You will also be instrumental in achieving State strategic planning outcomes and financial targets and you will be working closely with and have the full support of the NSW Head of Design.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • An energetic, confident & positive attitude with a passion for design
  • Effective communication and negotiation techniques to ensure successful sales outcomes
  • Maintaining responsibility and overseeing the management of multiple projects at any given time from concept to completion, ensuring a successful final delivery
  • Creating and identifying business development opportunities
  • Preparing scope of works, fee proposals and submissions
  • Truly understanding your clients’ desires and aspirations and providing a customer service which is second to none
  • Liaising closely with the Queensland Commercial Manager
  • Reaching financial targets and organizational results
  • Mentoring and positively encouraging the design team with good design, leadership skills and promoting open, collaborative communication
  • Meeting tight deadlines, ensuring seamless results for every project
  • Maintaining Coco Republic’s market position as a design leader and innovator

As a Senior Interior Designer, you will need to demonstrate a high level of creativity and a proven track record of design with a minimum of 8 years’ exposure with a reputable Interior Design business (perhaps even your own!); and a Bachelor’s Degree in the fields of Design/Interior Architecture.

You will bring a strong proficiency in Vectorworks and graphic programs including Photoshop and Indesign. You will be highly organised, self-motivated and results driven and demonstrate your proven design expertise with both high-end residential and commercial projects together with previous experience of managing the workflow of juniors and/or a design team.

If this sounds like the opportunity you’ve been waiting for and would love to work as a designer for one of Australia’s most respected design brands, we want to hear from you! Take that leap in your Senior Design career and be a part of our journey of creating beautiful, personal sanctuaries.
