• Develops sustainable, multi-modal transportation strategies and coordinates with others to assure successful project completion
• Meets with key internal and external individuals to gather input and feedback on projects
• Manages multiple projects at once including complex planning studies, corridor plans, and implementation of transportation projects

Examples of Duties

• Develops and implements sustainable, multi-modal transportation strategies at the local, regional, or national levels in collaboration with other professionals and agencies
• Manages multiple projects to implement the goals of Louisville Metro Government’s Multi-Modal Transportation Plan (Move Louisville)
• Engages the community to gather input and feedback on projects and planning studies in order to build consensus and assure plan/project implementation
• Coordinates with government agencies and organizations to assure successful project implementation and coordination with other community planning documents and goals
• Develops project budgets and coordinates with department leadership to assure adequate funding for projects
• Analyzes and visualizes data including land use, transportation and socio-economic data
• Assists with securing services, grants, loans, and other forms of available funding from sponsoring agencies
• Researches, analyzes, and resolves complex transportation design issues in collaboration with engineers, architects and designers
• Attends and holds meetings with members of the public, partnering agencies, organizations, or appointed and elected officials
• Performs related work
