Overview
The five-year BA at the Irwin S. Chanin School of Architecture at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art takes a broad look at the foundations of both architecture and urban planning. Launched in 2009, the post-professional masters course (an MArch II designation) attracts working professionals looking to enhance their practice via advanced research and skill development. All students are assigned a workspace in a shared studio housed in the landmark Foundation Building on the school’s bustling East Village campus. Two travel fellowships enable students to study abroad.
