The patterning in SineEffect Carpet Tiles, a collection of modular soft surface flooring by Tarkett, was developed from the mathematical sine function. Fashion and textiles designer Jhane Barnes used animation software to create the flooring, which features undulating and stretched circles that resemble wood grain.

SineEffect can be installed over a variety of substrates including concrete and has a Powerbond hyper-resilient sheet floorcovering with a closed-cell cushion (made from up to 33 per cent recycled content) that provides an impermeable moisture barrier. Multiple colourways are available.
